Purchased a car recently and noticed a sticker for an oil change was in the window for the vehicle I was purchasing. The vehicle was a hybrid, and I wanted to know when the battery for the hybrid system was replaced. Called up and talked to the owner, gave me the information I needed. And I was extremely grateful as I now know the history of my car. Didn't have to do it, but they obliged. Thank you!

Reliable and honest

A-1 Brake and Tire's honesty renewed my faith in auto repair places! They are highly knowledgeable, diagnosing accurately and in a timely fashion. They offer excellent prices for their careful and thorough work. In my many decades, I have not met a group of kinder/ friendlier auto service professionals. I unequivocally recommend them for any repair job. Over the years they have. replaced my water pump, my cooling system, replaced tires/ balanced and aligned, replaced broken side mirror, done major and minor tune-ups, and correctly diagnosed check engine light.

Kathy and George are wonderful. I went in for 30 K service on my 2023 Toyota Highlander hybrid and they checked everything and the inside cabin and engine air filters were so clean they did not need to be replaced. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them !!

Easy to schedule for car service and does an excellent job of auto needs analysis and then repairs! Great value!!

When I called about a flat they said they don't "do tires" anymore... well, then shouldn't you change your name and web search & reviews?

Awesome. I needed to know what the problem was, he found it immediately and got me back on the road at no charge.

I have been a loyal A-1 customer for two years and have previously received superb technical repairs. Unfortunately, my latest experience was significantly soured by the attitude of the customer service representative (I believe his name was George). I called to schedule a headlight replacement using my own bulbs. George initially stated they would install them only 'if they were not cheap junk.' When I arrived, he inspected them and declared he didn't want to install 'cheap China junk" but went ahead and installed them anyway. Additionally, I got an oil change. While I respect a shop's need to ensure quality, this language was judgmental, presumptuous, and highly unprofessional. A-1 successfully completed the headlight replacement and an oil change, and the work itself was excellent, as usual. However, the lack of basic customer courtesy made me very uncomfortable and completely overshadowed the good repair job. I recommend A-1 for their mechanical skill, but management needs to address the customer-facing staff's poor attitude and disrespectful language.

They spilled a little oil on my engine - so they had it steam cleaned (without me asking). They also washed my car inside and out. This is me hoping they spill a little oil every time I bring my car in :)

Great service, fair price for excellent tires. Wait time was normal and I got a $60.00 gift card from Michelin as part of my purchase.

My family is so grateful to George and the team for squeezing us in and fixing our 2017 Subaru Outback. We were visiting family in WC after driving down from WA state. I began to hear a whirring noise when I accelerated. We were far from home and needed the car looked at and fixed ASAP so I took it to my SIL's mechanic who couldn't fit us in (we were leaving in just two days). He recommended A1. They were booked up too, but George took a listen to the engine, and fit us in---diagnosed the problem, tracked down the needed new belt tensioner and got the work done the following morning, all with friendly smiles and kindness. The work was done quicker than expected (great value)---labor was less expensive than he quoted. We drove home to WA no problem! So appreciative! Thanks!

What a great shop and service! My sister-in-law regularly takes her Prius here, so luckily she recommended them to me while I was visiting her. They really helped me when my Subaru was flashing all kinds of warning signs - they got me in quickly and fixed it without even charging me for their time. Diablo Subaru wanted $250 just to diagnose the problem! I wish this shop was closer to my home so I could use them all the time. Thank you George and Cathy, you're the best!

Joe, Cathy and George are three of the best people to trust with your vehicle regardless of make! I've been a most satisfied customer for many years, not only tires and brakes but engine issues as well. I've always felt that their prices were fair and I'd recommend them to everyone!

A-1 Brake and Tire has been a life saver in diagnostic and repair for my vehicle and communicated with the dealer which resulted in me receiving a full reimbursement on the repair cost. They were professional, kept me updated through the whole process. They are great and George is a fantastic mechanic. I have taken my car there for service several times and never disappointed!

The brakes on my wife's car started to squeal so we decided to have A-1 take a look to see what was causing the issue. Kathy, Joe, and George were fantastic to work with! They let us know the situation and gave us several options to choose from. The communication was great and we were able to drop the vehicle off in the morning and pick it up before the end of the day. I consider A1 Brake & Tire to have the highest level of integrity and expertise. They don't compromise by using cheap parts, and that's exactly what I want from my mechanic. I and my family have been using them for decades and I plan to continue.

I have been doing "car stuff" for most of my life and usually do all my own work, even down to timing belts and chains. But I don't own a tire machine so I usually end up at Wheel Works, America's Tire, or Big-O. All of which have left me dissapointed on most of the time. I care about the quality of work and the value recieved, hugely. Getting the little things right really, really matters to me. I wanted to get away from bigbox USA and try a local shop out, so off to A1 I went for a tire rebalance. A1 had to give me bad news that three of my wheels were bent but they balanced them the best they could. I was very disappointed in the news but so it goes, it's not their fault. Funny enough, every other shop said the wheels were fine and I didn't hit anything new. I digress. . . So, I gave them a shot on balancing my racetrack wheels (with track oriented rubber). The three times prior, balanced at big box stores, things vibrated. I was told that it was because they were performance tiers. A1 balanced these things, said they were straight, and sent me on my way. Imagine my surprise when my car rolled along smooth as silk. Felt like an entirely different vehicle. Things were exactly as they said and work was done right the first time. On such as simple and common thing, where three other shops faltered, after multiple attempts... A1 GOT IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME! I'm stingy and particular. Yet, they earned my business.

We got a flat tire 2 hours away from home, they gladly put in extra effort to try and repair an almost irreparable tire and provided very fast, friendly, honest service. After service, the manager George very kindly refused to take pay for the service and said he just wanted us to get home safe.

I was referred to A-One by a good friend who has been telling me how well they serviced her vehicle over the past several years. They did not disappoint. I will go back.

Took both my vehicles in last month for oil change and to be checked out. They were very honest, friendly and did a great job. Have been there before for brakes, water pump change and hoses replaced. My car and truck aren’t new. One 2006 and the other 2012. They run like new.

We have been going to A-1 for years and they are awesome. Last visit my car needed more work than I thought and they asked if they could keep it overnight. I needed to pick it up that day as I had to head out of town so they sent one of their guys to pick up a part vs waiting to have it delivered and got everything done that afternoon. Great service from smart friendly people at reasonable prices. What more could you ask for?

Made an appointment for an oil change and smog repair through the online form. The email in response to confirming the appointment was incredibly unprofessional. Once my car had been dropped off for over three hours, I called to check on the status, only to be told it was sitting there waiting for me to come pick up the car. I just had a loose gas cap and they didn’t even change my oil, WHY did it take 3 hours?? I wouldn’t recommend going to this place due to the timing and unprofessional nature of the situation.

Were first recommended to me from a trusted mechanic when I needed an alignment after buying tires elsewhere last year. Decided to try A-1 for tires for another car. They offered multiple choices with great prices. Helpful communication and were able to fit me in and complete work promptly. Love the new tires, will use again
